In a statement, the chairperson of DeM, Syedah Aasiyah Andrabi said the souls of the duo attained freedom from the slavery and the imprisonment of India and they made their nation proud. “They have proved that India cannot eliminate the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri nation by whatsoever oppression,” she said. She said that both suffered and sacrificed for the sacred cause of Kashmir and tolerated all ups and downs. Their sacrifices have been recorded in the history of resistance in golden words and would act as a guiding light for the generations to come. “Observing a day in their honour without any goal is useless. The day should be observed to reiterate the resolve that the people of Kahsmir are militarily occupied by a Hindu Brahmin army and that we will not bow down to the might of our occupier,” she said. She said that Kahsmiris have laid numerous scarifices for the cause and there is no way to back out or surrender. “We have to stand firm. Surrendering is a trait of a hypocrite,” she said. She said that Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru are heroes of the Kashmiri nation. “Kashmiri nation is resisting the forced control of India for the last 71 years and during this period lacks of our valiant and bold people have sacrificed lives for the sacred cause but Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru are two different cases among these who were detained, executed and buried in the same jail and in the same month.” Andrabi said that Shaheed Bhat and Shaheed Guru, will continue to inspire generations and will be remembered as great symbols of courage and sacrifices and will be acting as guiding lights for subjugated people throughout the world to stand firm and determined against all sorts of tyranny and tyrannical tactics. “Their struggle, their sufferings, their devotion, their sacrifices and courage despite all odds, are recorded in history of our resistance movement in golden letters and will be the syllabus for all oppressed nations who are up against occupation anywhere in the world,” she said. “The best tribute we will be offering to these true sons of soil and great soldiers of Islam is to renew our pledge towards the cause of freedom and continue this sacred struggle till it reaches its logical end,” she added. Reacting to the statement of puppet Mehbooba Mufti wherein she has condemned the killing of a lady, Zainab in Poonch during cross loc shelling, and demanded that India and Pakistan should talk , Syedah Andrabi said that even shame is ashamed of Mehbooba now. “Zainab is our own. She is a residnet of occupied Kashmir. But where was the sympathy of this shameless lady when school kids were killed in Azad Kashmir after their school van was attacked by the Indianoccupational forces last year. Why does she condemn and speak hypocritically.” She said that numerous Zainabs have been killed and many will continue to lose their lives as long as india continues with its brutal, coercive and Brahmanical military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. “The only way for peace in south asia and to stop this bloodshed is that India ends its illegal occupation.” She said the line dividing the parts of Kashmir is a ceasefire line and not any international border. “The blood on this line will continue to flow till India refuses to accept Kashmir as disputed territory and ends its occupation.” She suggested the puppet mehbooba to stop hitting left right and centre to gain sympathy and sooner the better accept the reality that Kashmir is an internationally accepted dispute.(KNO)
